WORLD HEALTH WORKER WEEK!
The COVID-19 pandemic has shone a spotlight on frontline health workers’ tireless efforts to keep their communities—and the world—safe and healthy. It’s time to move beyond awareness-raising and call for specific actions to better protect and support them.
For World Health Worker Week (April 5 – 9, 2021), Women in Global Health is joining the Frontline Health Workers Coalition to call for policymakers to listen to health workers and then act to address their needs and concerns. Health workers know best what they need to be safer, healthier, and more prepared to end the pandemic, prevent future disease outbreaks, and ensure access to essential services for their communities.
Join the campaign by following @WomeninGH, @FHWCoalition, @HRH2030Program, and @IntraHealth for a video series from health workers and global leaders around the world, so we can LISTEN TO HEALTH WORKERS.
