Top 12 Accomplishments: Women in Global Health at the 69th World Health Assembly

Women in Global Health, as part of the Women Leaders in Global Health Initiative (WLGHI) with Global Health Council, attended the 69th World Health Assembly and made waves through ground-breaking events in partnership with some wonderful organizations, and brought the dialogue about women's leadership in global health to the international stage. We have highlighted our top 12 accomplishments including:

1. A call for Global Health commitments on Gender Equality, "My #womeningh commitment"

2. A call for disaggregated gender data in research studies accepted for peer review publications in the Lancet

3. Release of the chief delegate sex ratio: ~26% of chief delegates for member states (countries) were women

4. A call for a Research Proposal on Gender Equality in Global Health Leadership

5. Release of a Checklist for Gender Equal Panels/Events for the Global Health Community

6. A Reception event on Women's Leadership

7. A Side-Event Panel on Gender Equity in Health Systems in Fragile States

8. A first-ever Women Leaders in Global Health Dinner, in partnership with the United Nations Foundation and GE Healthcare
